Frequently Asked Questions

All information about the wedding can be found here; if your question isn’t answered below please email us!

When do I need to RSVP by?

Please RSVP by August 1, 2025.

What is the attire for the celebration?

We request Black Tie Optional attire. For men this means full suits or tuxedoes. For women we request floor-length gowns or elevated separates.

That said... no jeans, t-shirts, polos, shorts, flip-flops, etc.

Where should I stay?

The venue is in downtown Santa Barbara. There are several options available throughout downtown with relative ease of transportation. AirBnB and VRBO also have great options for places to stay. Word of warning, we recommend you book early as our wedding date coincides with move in weekend at UCSB.

Can I bring my kid(s)/pet(s)?

First, we love your kid(s)/pet(s). But with that said, no, they are not allowed.

Will there be a wedding ceremony?

Of course! We will have a short and sweet ceremony, with both the ceremony and reception taking place at the Santa Barbara Club.

Can I take pictures during said wedding ceremony?

NO! We have hired a wonderful professional photographer to capture these timeless moments for all of us to enjoy. We promise their camera can take much nicer photos than your phone. We will be sharing said photos so you can post to Facebook/Instagram for all your friends to see.

Will transportation be provided to the event?

We do not have dedicated transportation.

I'm driving to the event. Is there parking?

The Santa Barbara Club has an attached, private parking lot with around 30 spaces that is free for guests. However, we recommend using ride-share services such as Uber/Lyft/Taxi.

Sometimes I get hungry. Will there be food?

Yes, plenty of food. We will have passed hors d'oeuvres, a three-course dinner, and a late night snack.

Sometimes I get thirsty. Will there be drinks?

Yes, there will be an open bar that includes a large selection of beers, wines, and spirits. Various mixers will be available, as well as a signature cocktail or two, and a selection of non-alcoholic beverages.

Sometimes I dance. Will there be music?

Yes. In addition to Nic’s signature drumming/whistling, we'll have a live piano player and a DJ later in the evening.

I'm arriving a few days early and want to explore Santa Barbara. Any suggestions?

Santa Barbara is a beautiful and walkable beach town with tons of shopping, amazing food, local wineries, and things to do/see. For the outdoorsy folks, we recommend hiking up Inspiration Point or walking along the beach. For those interested in the food scene, Santa Barbara has fresh seafood, great clam chowder, and all types of cuisines (particularly good Mexican food). The Funk Zone is great for those interested in local wineries. Other sights to see include the Santa Barbara Mission, the Santa Barbara Zoo, and the wharf. Additionally, there is a farmers market on State Street on Saturdays if you want to explore before the ceremony begins!
